As an organization of student leaders across the State of New York, members are given access to a network of people and opportunities from Niagara Falls to the Montauk Lighthouse. We are a statewide support organization that supports their schools and communities through student involvement. NYS CLSAʼs programs assist students in furthering their skills in civic awareness, team building, and goal setting through different activities at local, state and national levels.
Membership costs $125 per year

NYS CLSA Resources
As a member of NYS CLSA, your Student Council has access to a wealth of new information and resources not only from our State Conference, but others events as well! NYS CLSA has been a strong supporter of the NASC LEAD conferences and the National Student Council Conference as well.
By joining NYS CLSA, you are also eligible to attend our annual Regional conferences, where state delegations from the Eastern US come together to attend workshops, share ideas and further their leadership potential.
As an organization, we are proud to recognize students, advisors and administrators in a number of ways. Links to the previously mentioned NYS CLSA awards such as the Dale Hawley Leadership Award and the Administrator of the Year can be found on the Awards & Events Page. We also recognize exceptional councils who raise money for the state charity through our Honor Council process. These are just some of the benefits that you have access to by joining NYS CLSA.
